Carbon copying (CC) and blind copying (BCC) yourself on emails can be a helpful way to remind yourself of important emails or keep your colleagues in the loop. If you use Gmail or Outlook, you can easily automate the process so that all your emails are automatically CCed or BCCed.
To automatically BCC or CC yourself (or any other email address for that matter) in Gmail, you will need a browser extension. The feature is not native to Gmail, and many third-party extensions require pretty extensive permissions to access your email.
How To Set Up Auto CC BCC In Gmail And Outlook
Once you've created these rules in Gmail or Outlook, you won't need to tweak them again. They will run automatically indefinitely, until you turn them off. It's far quicker than manually adding yourself to the CC or BCC for every email!
The two main terms that you come across most in emailing are CC and BCC, especially in a professional setup. They help you send a copy of the mail to specific people or even yourself and keep them for reference later, just in case. Well, if you use Gmail or Outlook, which we believe most people do, you can automatically CC and BCC yourself in all your emails.
One scenario in which this rule is useful is when all members of a team are responsible for responding to incoming email messages, such as a support center. When one team member replies to a message, the rest of the team automatically receives a copy of the reply, keeping everyone informed of outgoing communications.
Now every time that you send a message, whether it is a new message, a reply, or a message that you are forwarding, the people or groups that you specified in the rule will automatically be added as Cc recipients. You will not see the names of the people or groups on the Cc line as you compose the message, but any recipient of the message will see these names.
You can now send a message without the automatic Cc rule sending a copy to other people or distribution lists. The rule will remain off until you return to the Rules and Alerts dialog box and enable the rule again.
If you want the flexibility to turn your new automatic Cc rule off on a single-message basis without going to the Rules and Alerts dialog box, you can use the category feature in Outlook, together with the rule.

To automatically forward your Outlook messages, select the Settings gear icon > View all Outlook settings > Mail > Forwarding > turn on Enable forwarding. Enter the email address you want messages forwarded to > Save.
To set up automatic replies in Outlook, first create an email template for your auto-reply, then open Settings > View all Outlook settings. Select Mail > Automatic replies > turn on the toggle next to Turn on automatic replies > enter your auto-reply message > Save.

Hi, I am still using outlook 2007 but might eventually move to a newer version. This seems to work for me as long as i disable macro security. I might try signing the macro and trusting the publisher just to make it safe. My boss is interested in getting copies of the emails sent by employees. Is there a way to prevent the user from disabling the macros completely or from editing the macro? Thanks.

The problem with Filters is that they don't work the same on outgoingmessages as they do on incoming. Some of the filter actions aresimply non-functional on outgoing messages ... includingauto-forwarding them to *any* address.I keep trying it, but it never works.
